Chauvet’s Ovation is the LED Ellipsoidal you’ve been WAITING for!!

It seems like a new version or type of LED fixture comes out every week — it can be overwhelming!  Although new technology is always exciting, there’s something to be said for the feel of a “good old-fashioned” theatrical fixture.  Traditional PAR cans, fresnels and ellipsoidals are easy to use and meet specific lighting needs in a way that some of the new fixtures just can’t quite seem to achieve.

With Chauvet’s new Ovation E-190 WW, you’ll find the familiarity of a traditional ellipsoidal.  It looks and functions exactlyChauvet Ovation as expected and provides a “not-too-harsh” yet bright light.  There are a lot of options for changing beam spread or adding gels (try LEE Filters LED Color correcting gels!) or gobos.  Chauvet put it fairly concisely in this little blurb:

Powered by 19 10-watt LEDs, Ovation™ E-190WW outputs a class-leading 3,446 lux at 5 meters without a significant temperature-related drop off. Ovation™ E-190WW delivers this excellent white light with a color temperature of 3,100 K and a beautiful flat field. It also features standard beam shaping shutters, a gobo/effect slot and lens barrels that are interchangeable with other popular ERS fixtures. Selectable dimming curves ensure smooth fading cues that intermix well with the output of conventional theater ellipsoidals, offering a unique opportunity to update rental inventories.

So check out the Chauvet Ovation!  All the familiarity of a traditional fixture with the energy savings and cool touch of an LED fixture.  Congratulations, Chauvet — this fixture truly earns its name!
